Welcome!

My name is Rachel, and I've lived in the Santa Clarita Valley my entire life. And of that life, I've been obsessed with makeup for pretty much all of it. I love making people look beautiful, and want to do it as often as possible. After 25 years of living in the same city, it's given me quite a few connections to various industries. Several of my family and friends are in the movie industry, and it's given me a chance to see what being a full-time makeup artist really means. Someday that is a dream to be fulfilled, but until then, I am as happy as can be doing makeup for proms, engagements, weddings, high fashion photography, and just everyday looks. You don't need makeup to look beautiful. But it's great to enhance your beauty!

Make Up For Ever HD Line

Okay.... so MUFE's HD product line is AMAZING. I recently bought it at Sephora, and was pleasantly surprised! It took me a while to suck it up and spend the money, but once I did, WOW! The HD foundation makes anyone's skin look flawless in person and especially on camera. The only warning I have is that the shades seem to run a little darker than usual, this could be because you only need a tiny bit for coverage. For example, I am usually a medium beige color when it comes to most brand's foundation. However with this particular one, I was color matched as an Ivory, much lighter than I ever would have thought. Same with the concealers. The great thing with this entire HD line (everything from the primer, concealer, foundation, blush, to the microfinish powder) is that a little goes a LONG way. It is going to take me a very long time to run out of this.
So my over all consensus it BUY IT! You WON'T be disappointed. However, if you don't plan on being in front of a camera a whole lot, you could get away with buying Bare Escentuals or something equivalent and be just fine.

Pictures to follow soon! :-)

Newcomer

Hello!!

This is my first blog posting, so bare with me. This blog with be updated with news on new makeup lines, interviews with makeup artists out working in the field, makeup jobs on the rise, opinions on popular makeup schools, etc. Eventually, I hope to attach a link to a YouTube channel with tutorials on popular looks, as well as some looks that push the bounds. I have been involved in the makeup community since I was a kid. Several of my friends and family are in the movie industry, and it has fascinated me since I saw the first film that they worked on. I am just beginning my journey as a professional makeup artist, and I hope it takes off.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned!
